BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is spotlighting the 2020 women’s seniors who had their season cut-short due to the Coronavirus. Conducted through written word or by video, the league’s intention is to recognize its membership.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and looking for a job as an ICU nurse, Hartwick College’s Hayley Hill arrived as a Division I varsity player from Fort Lauderdale, Fla, but made a lasting mark in the collegiate club ranks over the past two seasons.
Following the elimination of the varsity program at Hartwick in 2018, Hill did not accept that the sport was over and was the driving force to create the Hawks’ club team. The leader of the team as an attacker for two undefeated New York Division seasons, she garnered All-New York Division honors in 2019.
