BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion the University of Southern California and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Champion California Lutheran University retain top billing as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2022 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Week 13/November 30 Polls.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC), Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC), Golden Coast Conference, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), SCIAC and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls will be compiled and released on Wednesday during each week of the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2022 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 (Week 13/November 30)
The University of Southern California remains at No. 1 in the Week 13/November 30 National Men’s Varsity Top 20 Poll.
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion, the Trojans (97 points) see their lead shrink to a single point this week as the University of California (96 points) closes to within striking distance heading into this weekend’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship hosted by the Golden Bears.
The University of California-Los Angeles (91 points), Stanford University (86 points), the University of California-Davis (79 points), University of the Pacific (75 points) and Long Beach State University (67 points) remain at No. 3-to-7 with Princeton University (65 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (61 points) exchanging the No. 8 and 9 spots.
The University of California-San Diego (55 points), the University of California-Irvine (51 points), Loyola Marymount University (44 points), Pepperdine University (41 points) and San Jose State University (33 points) hang on at No. 10-to-14 with Fordham University (26 points) rising into a tie with St. Francis College Brooklyn (26 points) at No. 15.
Harvard University (20 points) slips to No. 17 with Santa Clara University (19 points) and California Baptist University (12 points) staying at No. 18 and 19.
The final position in the Top 20 is shared by three programs as Bucknell University (3 points), the United States Air Force Academy (3 points) and George Washington University (3 points) complete the rankings.

In the wake of a week in which no Division III institutions competed, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Champion California Lutheran University retains the No. 1 spot in the Week 13/November 30 Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
The rankings remain unchanged from last week as Cal Lutheran (99 points), the University of Redlands (94 points), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (91 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (83 points), Chapman University (75 points), Occidental College (75 points), Johns Hopkins University (75 points), Whittier College (62 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (62 points) and the University of La Verne (35 points) continue in their prior rankings for another week.
