2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Due to the Spieker Aquatic Center being unavailable for the majority of the championship weekend, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases a revised schedule for the 2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of California-Los Angeles in Los Angeles, Calif., on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7.

The majority of games will now be contested at the Sunset Canyon Park Pool (90095 Easton Dr, Los Angeles) with 12 games remaining at Spieker (114 Easton Dr, Los Angeles) during the 30-game, three-day championship weekend.

Game times on Friday, May 5, remain unchanged with the first nine games occurring at the Park Pool and occurring with 9:00 a.m.-to-6:20 p.m. start times.  A change does occur during the evening as Spieker will host the 10th and 11th games at 8:45 p.m. and 9:55 p.m., respectively.

On Saturday, May 6, the sequence and location of the games changes dramatically from the previously approved and posted edition of the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship schedule.

Competition begins at the Park Pool at 9:00 a.m. for Game 12, and then splits to both Park and Spieker.  At 10:10 a.m., Game 13 occurs at Spieker and Game 14 at Park Pool, followed by Game 15 at Spieker and Game 16 at Park beginning at 11:20 a.m.

The most significant changes come at 12:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. as Games 17 and 18 take place at the Park Pool.  Down the road, the 13th/15th place games – which are Games 23 and 24 and have occurred as the final two games on the second day of the tournament in previous Men’s and Women’s National Collegiate Club Championships – take place at 12:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. at Spieker.

The remainder of the Saturday, May 6, schedule concludes at Park Pool with Games 19-22 starting at 2:50 p.m.-to-6:20 p.m., respectively.

Further, the docket for Sunday, May 7, changes and remains tentative due to participating teams departing flights.

Games on Sunday, May 7, are slated to occur at Spieker Pool as of April 28, with the Seventh (9:00 a.m.), Fifth (10:15 a.m.), Third (11:30 a.m.), First (12:45 p.m.), Ninth (2:15 p.m.) and 11th (3:30 p.m.) place games penciled in to conclude the weekend.  However, fans and teams should be aware of the schedule changing either on Saturday night and/or Sunday morning to accommodate teams departing flights arrangements.
