BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of California-Los Angeles and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges complete the year as National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and USA Water Polo Division Collegiate Champions along with rating  at No. 1 in the nation as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the official final 2025 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 and Division III Top 10 Polls for Week 15/December 10.

Voted on by a panel of coaches, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during each week of the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.

Both poll remain unchanged this week due to a lack of competition in the lead up to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship on Friday-Sunday, December 5-7, at Stanford University and the USA Water Polo Division III Men’s Collegiate Water Polo National Championship on Saturday-Sunday, December 6-7, at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

2025 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 (Week 15/December 10/Final)

National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Champion the University of California-Los Angeles concludes the year at No. 1 in the Week 15/December 10/Final National Men’s Varsity Top 20 Poll.

UCLA (100 points) returns to the top of the rankings after knocking off previously top-ranked the University of Southern California by an 11-10 score on December 7 at Stanford University‘s Avery Aquatic Center.  USC (95 points) drops back to No. 2 with Stanford (89 points), the University of California (84 points), Fordham University (83 points), San Jose State University (74 points), the University of California-Davis (71 points) and Long Beach State University (64 points) remaining at No. 3-to-8, respectively.

California Baptist University (57 points) and Pepperdine University (57 points) complete the Top 10 by tying at No. 9.

University of the Pacific (48 points), Princeton University (45 points), Loyola Marymount University (39 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (36 points), the University of California-San Diego (35 points), the University of California-Irvine (28 points), Santa Clara University (19 points), Harvard University (16 points), Brown University (10 points) and George Washington University (4 points) complete the Top 20.

2025 Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 15/December 10/Final)

USA Water Polo Division III Champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges completes the 2025 season as the lead team in the Week 15/December 10/Final Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

The Stags (100 points) – which downed Pomona-Pitzer Colleges by a 9-4 score at home to claim the USA Water Polo Division III Championship on December 7 – are followed by the Sagehens (95 points).

Whittier College (89 points), the University of Redlands (83 points) and Occidental College (77 points) account for the remainder of the Top Five.

Chapman University (71 points) and California Lutheran University (71 points) are tied at No. 6, while the trio of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (63 points), Augustana College (63 points) and Johns Hopkins University (63 points) conclude the Top 10 by tying at No. 8.
