Collegiate Water Polo Association Releases 2017 Week 7/October 26 Men’s National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Three-time defending Men’s National Collegiate Club Champion Lindenwood University retains its position on top of the national scene as the Lions hold off the University of California by four points in the 2017 Week 7/October 26 Men’s National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll.

The 2014, 2015 and 2016 National Champion, the Lions of 2017 Missouri Valley Division Champion Lindenwood see their one point lead over the Golden Bears of California from last week expand to four points through seven weeks (96-to-92).

Long Beach State University (89 points), San Diego State University (88 points) and California State University-Maritime Academy (76 points) each climb one spot to take over at No. 3-to-5, respectively, while Pennsylvania State University (76 points) falls back to No. 6.

The Ohio State University (65 points) acquires company at No. 7 from California Polytechnic State University (65 points), while the the United States Military Academy (60 points) and the University of California-Davis (52 points) round out the Top 10.

The University of Florida (43 points), Grand Valley State University (41 points), the University of Michigan (39 points) and the University of Texas (35 points) readjust to rate at No. 11-to-14, respectively, with the duo of California State University-Chico (34 points) and Indiana University (34 points) tying at No. 15.

Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (27 points), more commonly known as Virginia Tech, the University of Colorado (16 points) and the University of California-San Diego (15 points) hold down the No. 16-to-19 slots with the University of Georgia (7 points) and Boston College (7 points) completing the Top 20 in a deadlock for the final position.
