BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Caroline Anderson (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of No. 9-ranked the University of Michigan registered six goals, seven assists and five steals in a trio of non-conference victories at Hartwick College to take March 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Co-Player of the Week honors.

Facing Brown University (16-5 W), No. 17 Princeton University (13-4 W) and host/No. 13 Hartwick College (14-7 W) in a trio of non-conference games versus league opponents, her six goals and seven assists for 13 points helped her break the U-M career points record, previously held by CWPA Hall of Fame member Shana Welch, and allowed her to become the first player in school history to hit 400 career points.

Anderson had three goals and two assists against Brown, one goal and three assists versus Princeton and two goals with a pair of assists against No. 13 Hartwick as the Wolverines pushed their record to 18-7 in 2018.

The award marks the fourth weekly honor bestowed on Anderson during her tenure in Ann Arbor, Mich., as she previously garnered laurels as the January 25 Rookie of the Week in 2015, shared the February 29 Player of the Week award in 2016 with Eleanor Marrs ’16 of Bucknell University and notched laurels as the May 15 Player of the Week last season.

She shares the award this week with Lena Kotanchyan (So., Moscow, Russia/Elk Island School) of Hartwick who posted 11 goals, five assists and five steals in a 2-1 weekend for the Hawks.
