SALEM, W.Va. — Salem University head men’s water polo coach Rob Bullion announced the program’s list of anticipated incoming players for the 2019 season:

  • Adam Hudson (Lincoln-Way East High School, Ill.) – Enters Salem University following a fourth place finish in the in Illinois High School State Tournement…Helped his team win a Sectional Championship in 2019…Rewarded with First Team All-State Team and First Team All-Section honors.
  • Julen Alonso (IES Beatriz Galindo, Madrid, Spain) – Comes to Salem with a strong goaltending background, playing in the First Division in Spain…Named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of his club in Madrid in 2016 and is expected to compete for the starting goaltending position.
  • Manuel Soto Estella (St. Thomas Aquinas, Fla. (Puerto Rico)) –  Comes to Salem off a season where his team played in the semi-finals of the Florida High school State Tournament…Also plays for South Florida Water Polo Club.
  • Jacob Badough (Friendswood High School, Texas) – Captured a district championship the last two years in Texas High School water polo…Named All-Region Honorable Mention Team…Will compete for the starting goaltending position.
  • Dylan Kraft (Maine East High School, Ill.) – Named All-Sectional Honorable Mention in 2018 and will also compete for the starting goaltending position.
  • Chad Rowley (Fatima College, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago) – Part of the Trinidad and Tobago National Team…Being a left handed player, he will help bring depth to the right side of the offense.
  • Nephtali Rivera (St. Patrick High School, Ill.) – Named Second Team All-Section this season. In 2018, he made First Team All-Section and Third Team All-State.
