BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeeper Caden Capobianco (Fr., Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach) recorded 22 saves with four steals, three assists and 18 goals allowed during a 3-1 weekend for the No. 9-ranked Midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy. For his efforts, Capobianco receives the February 22 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week award.
He opened the weekend with 14 saves and a steal in a 12-11 overtime loss at home in Scott Natatorium to No. 10 Bucknell University on Saturday, February 20. A day later at La Salle University’s Kirk Pool in Philadelphia, Pa., Capobianco notched eight saves with three assists, three steals and six goals allowed in a 19-6 victory over Iona College.
