BRONX, N.Y. — Due to the team going on pause, the Fordham University water polo team has been forced to cancel the remainder of their spring season.
The team was slated to play two matches this week against Iona College and La Salle University prior to this weekend’s Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championship which was slated for March 6-7 at a site to be determined. However, the pause will last past this weekend, effectively ending the season for the Rams.
Fordham marks the second MAWPC institution to end its season earlier as No. 9-ranked the United States Naval Academy – which was slated to host the MAWPC Championship – also went on pause earlier this week to conclude the Midshipmen’s season.
