BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) was informed during the evening of Monday, October 26, of Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Utah declining its automatic berth to the 2026 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the Huntsville Aquatics Center in Huntsville, Alabama, on Friday-Sunday, November 6-8.

Per league policy, Rocky Mountain Division Championship runner-up the University of Colorado was presented the opportunity to replace the Utes and represent the division in the 16-team championship’s No. 6 position.  If Colorado declines, the bid is offered to the runner-up from last year’s National Collegiate Club Championship Division – the Pacific Coast Division – as California Polytechnic State University captured the 2025 National Championship.
