BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of California-Davis remains at No. 1 as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2017 Women’s National Collegiate Club Week 7/March 23 Top 20 Poll.
The Aggies (99 points) fall one point shy of being a unanimous top selection as San Diego State University (96 points) earned a first place vote and stands three points out of the No. 1 slot in the Top 20. It marks a one-point shift from last week when UC-Davis led SDSU 98-to-97.
The University of California-Los Angeles (90 points) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (80 points) hang on at No. 3 and 4, respectively, as the Top Four positions remain unchanged from last week. The University of California (75 points), California Polytechnic State University (74 points) and the University of Notre Dame (68 points) trade the No. 5-to-7 positions with the University of Michigan (61 points) and Grand Valley State University (58 points) following the pattern at No. 8 and 9.
The University of Florida (49 points) acquires sole possession of the No. 10 spot, while former equal Pennsylvania State University (47 points) falls off the pace to settle at No. 11 this week.
The University of Washington (41 points), The Ohio State University (37 points), the University of Central Florida (30 points) and Michigan State University (27 points) take over at No. 12-to-15, with the University of California-Irvine (22 points), the University of Texas (20 points), the University of Oregon (15 points) and the University of California-Santa Cruz (12 points) rating at No. 16-to-19, respectively.
The University of San Diego (10 points) and Texas A&M University (10 points) round out the Top 20 at in a tie for the final position.
