BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Another week, another new top team as the University of California-Davis dislodges San Diego State University to take over at No. 1 as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2017 Women’s National Collegiate Club Week 3/February 23 Top 20 Poll.
UC-Davis (92 points) edges in front of San Diego State (91 points) and the University of California-Los Angeles (91 points) to acquire the No. 1 position after rating at No. 4 in the Week 2/February 16 voting. San Diego State and UCLA are now tied at No. 2, with the University of California (88 points) and defending National Champion/Week 1 No. 1-ranked the University of California-Santa Barbara (76 points) standing at No. 4 and 5, respectively, to complete an All-California Top Five.
The University of Florida (73 points), Grand Valley State University (72 points), the University of Notre Dame (64 points), California Polytechnic State University (61 points) and The Ohio State University (52 points) round out the Top 10.
The University of Michigan (49 points), the University of Utah (33 points), Pennsylvania State University (28 points), Arizona State University (23 points) and the University of North Carolina (22 points) take over at No. 11-to-15.
The University of Texas (19 points) and Michigan State University (18 points) acquire the No. 16 and 17 positions in the Top 20, with the University of Pittsburgh (16 points) and Middlebury College (16 points) tying at No. 18.
Boston College (14 points) completes the Top 20.
