BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The CWPA Remote club interview series continues as Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Broadcast Assistant Mike Shannon talks with 2001 Grand Valley State University graduate and Manager of RockiesVision for the Colorado Rockies Jeff Donehoo.
Promoted to Manager in January 2020, Donehoo previously served as Supervisor of RockiesVision starting in November 2005. In his position, he was responsible to produce, write, edit and deliver video and scoreboard content for the Colorado Rockies.
He produced and edited online only features for Rockies.com and was responsible to produced, write and edit marketing commercials for the team.
At Coors Field – the home of the Rockies – he directed and technical directed the live video board show displayed in stadium. Further, he designed and managed post-production workflows in addition to programing switchers and Daktronics computers for live events.
In addition, he has served as game day staff/technical director and editor for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League since August 2010.
Prior to joining the Rockies, Donehoo worked as Director and Technical Director for ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain – now AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain – which is a regional sports network in the greater Denver area. In this role, he served as a freelance director and technical director for the studio pre-game and half-time shows for college football and basketball games.
From October 2012-to-December 2012, he worked as freelance director and technical director for the Denver Cutthroats of the minor league Central Hockey League after serving as Production Manager and video editor for The Illusion Factory in Woodland Hills, Calif., from October 2003 until October 2005.
At The Illusion Factory, Donehoo managed a team of six editors to produce short form promotions for Warner Brothers shows such as The O.C., the George Lopez Show, Everwood, One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars, Without A Trace and Joey.
Following graduation from GVSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Film and Video, Donehoo began his professional career as a network administrator for Dixon Engineering (May 2000-to-July 2003) where he was responsible for the company’s Windows network.
