BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — University of Notre Dame women’s collegiate club head coach Brian Coughlin is no stranger to success in water polo and the role the sport plays in cultivating successful alumni.

The head coach of the 12-time Midwest Division Champion and eight-time runner-up Irish, Coughlin is more than a coach in the league – he is also a former athlete in the men’s collegiate club ranks and the Associate Vice President for Student Development at Notre Dame.

Due to his experiences as an administrator and coach, he values the importance of intercollegiate athletics for the development of the mind, body and spirit of the students who come to South Bend and leave to influence the world as alumni.

A member of the league’s Board of Directors, he is asking athletes – both varsity and club – friends of the sport and of alumni to consider giving back to water polo and the CWPA via a donation.
