BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Connecticut College’s Olivia Fechner-Lewis (So., Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) made 17 saves to claim March 22 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week status as the Camels defeated Utica College 12-2 and 17-5 at home in Lott Natatorium.
She opened the two-game homestand on Saturday, March 20, by turning aside nine shots in a 12-2 defeat of the Pioneers. Fechner-Lewis returned to the water to stop eight more shots in a 17-5 victory over Utica.
The award marks the inaugural weekly honor for Fechner-Lewis.
