2021 Brown University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Brown University men’s water polo program has released its 2021 schedule for this Fall. The Bears will first take the pool on September 4 at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center in the Bruno Classic.
“I am looking forward to getting back on the pool deck with this incredible group of young men,” said head coach Felix Mercado. “We have added a third non-conference game versus Harvard (University) and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), which is something I hope we do annually. Playing great teams like Stanford (University), Santa Clara (University) and our non-conference East Coast opponents will no doubt allow us to be prepared for our conference championship.”
With the 2020 season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the first time the Bears have taken to the pool for competitive action since their 19-18 sudden victory overtime win over St. Francis College Brooklyn in the Third Place game of the 2019 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Championship at MIT’s Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center on November 24, 2019.
