2021 Men’s Collegiate Club Heartland Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2021 Men’s Collegiate Club Heartland Division schedule.
Comprised of Augustana College, Carleton College, Grinnell College, Knox College, Macalester College and St. Olaf College, the division will contest its 22nd season in the CWPA. Historically, Macalester (1999, 2000, 2005, 2006), Grinnell (2001, 2004, 2007, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019), Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (2002, 2003), Augustana (2014, 2017) and former club/varsity program Monmouth College (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) have claimed the prior 21 crowns. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Action commences on Saturday-Sunday, October 2-3, at Macalester in Saint Paul, Minn., as the teams clash in 12 games. The regular season comes to a close on Saturday-Sunday, October 16-17, at Augustana in Rock Island, Ill., as the squads square-off in another 12-game weekend to establish the final seeds for the division championship.
The results from the pair of regular season tournaments establish the seeds for the nine-game Heartland Division Championship penciled in for Saturday-Sunday, October 23-24, at Grinnell in Grinnell, Iowa.
The victor of the division championship earns an automatic berth to the 2021 Men’s Division III Collegiate Club Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 30-31 at a site to be announced.
