NEW LONDON, Conn. — Connecticut College, a highly selective private liberal arts college in New London, Conn., and a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), the Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) an the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), is conducting a national search for an Assistant Coach of Men’s and Women’s Water Polo. This is an academic year (44 week), full time (37.5 hours/week) term appointment ending June 30, 2022. This position is benefits eligible.

The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach with all aspects of a Division III water polo program for both teams. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for coaching/teaching, including development of practice plans, in-water teaching of skills and team concepts, dryland training, and application of opponent scouting reports to practice sessions; assist with executing a recruitment plan including hosting on-campus visits, development of prospect data base, frequent communication with prospects through e-mail, phone, and text messaging; communicate with team on practice times, away game departure times, meeting times, coordinate team operations, including uniform and equipment distribution and inventory, doing daily laundry, coordinate travel plan-bus departure times, team meals, hotel room assignments, and coordinate home game preparations.
