SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The No. 19-ranked Princeton University Tigers dropped a 10-9 overtime decision to the No. 9 University of California-San Diego Tritons during the final day of the University of California-Santa Barbara Winter Invitational.

Princeton trailed, 3-1, with 75 seconds left in the first quarter before eventually rallying to even the game at four-all as the clock read 3:33 in the second frame. The two squads exchanged tallies before the Tritons held a 6-5 advantage at halftime.

Kate Mallery tied the game at six-all, but the Tigers trailed by a goal as the fourth stanza started.

Princeton ripped off two straight to take the lead with six minutes remaining, but UC-San Diego tied the non-conference tilt, leading to overtime. The Tritons outscored the Tigers, 2-1 in the extra session to take the win.
