THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The Washington & Jefferson College women’s water polo team saw its five-match winning streak snapped with a 21-5 loss at Division III No. 2-ranked California Lutheran University.

The Presidents are 5-5 overall in 2022. Cal Lutheran improves to 11-6 on the season.

Five different Presidents scored in the match. Megan Deprez (Claremont, Calif./Claremont), Kimber Randolph (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield), Anastacia Didovich (Venice, Fla./Venice), Ryley McClellan (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) and Marcella Gallardo-Russell (Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz) found the back of the net for W&J. 

W&J trailed 8-3 after the first quarter. Cal Lutheran scored all 11 goals in the second quarter to build a 19-3 halftime lead. Both teams scored a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.
