BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Tori Thind (Sr., Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) and Maddie Ayers (Sr., Jupiter, Fla./Suncoast) of the University of Central Florida combined for 11 goals, seven assists, 11 steals, four field blocks a three saves during a 2-1 weekend at the Women’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division Championship hosted by Florida State University to share the group’s April 3 Player of the Week award.

Ayers – who posted three goals, nine steals and a pair of field blocks – and Thind – who added eight goals, seven assists and three saves along with pairs of steals and field blocks – aided the Knights to the division title game over the weekend in Tallahassee, Fla.

Following a 5-0 forfeit victory versus the University of Alabama on Saturday, April 1, the duo helped UCF knockoff the University of Florida “A” by a 9-8 score to reach the conference title game.  Facing the host Seminoles of Florida State for the conference title and an automatic berth to the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of California-Los Angeles on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, Central Florida dropped a 7-3 division to conclude the season as the Southeast Division runner-up.
