BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Vladan Mitrovic (Jr., Novi Sad, Serbia/Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj) of No. 5-ranked Princeton University recorded 16 goals with four hat-tricks at home during the 2023 Princeton Invitational to earn recognition as the September 11 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.
A two-time NWPC Player of the Week selection with prior honors on October 24, 2022, Mitrovic scored once in the Tigers’ 15-7 defeat of No. 11 California Baptist University on Friday, September 8, prior to accounting for three against Wagner College (17-5 W) and four facing No. 20 Santa Clara University (15-7 W) on Saturday, September 9.
On Sunday, September 10, he accounted for four markers versus both Division III No. 4 Chapman University (17-8 W) and No. 17 Fordham University (15-9 W) to cap off a 5-0 weekend for Princeton at home in DeNunzio Pool.
