2024 Princeton University Women’s Water Polo Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. — The defending Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Champion Princeton University women’s water polo team released the program’s 2024 schedule of games.

The Tigers begin their 2024 campaign at the University of Hawaii’s Rainbow Invitational on Friday-Saturday, January 26-27.  Princeton takes on the host Rainbow Warriors, Fresno State University and Azusa Pacific University during the two-day event in the Aloha State.

Head coach Derek Ellingson‘s crew returns to the mainland for a home game against Villanova University on Thursday, February 8, prior to hosing the Princeton Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, February 17-18, with games versus Siena College, San Diego State University and league foes Harvard University and Brown University. Princeton will face La Salle University on Thursday, February 22, and Long Island University on Friday, February 23, at home in DeNunzio Pool.

Princeton begins March at home in the Garden State as the team hosts a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) weekend with Bucknell University, the University of Michigan and Saint Francis University on Saturday-Sunday, March 2-3.

A trip out to San Diego State’s Aztec Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, March 9-10, for contests versus San Jose State University, Stanford University, Indiana University and the University of California-San Diego commence a West Coast swing.  The West Coast trip continues with road games at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (Wednesday, March 13), Loyola Marymount University (Friday, March 15) and the University of California-Los Angeles (Saturday, March 16) prior to a flight back to New Jersey.

Ellingson’s squad welcomes Iona University (Wednesday, March 20) and Wagner College (Thursday, March 28) to complete the month before taking part in a league weekend at Bucknell with Michigan, Saint Francis and the host Bison on Saturday-Sunday, April 6-7.

The regular season finishes with a road trip to Harvard and Brown on Saturday, April 13, prior to the CWPA Championship set for Friday-Sunday, April 26-28, at Harvard.  The champion of the CWPA Championship earns the league’s bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship tournament.
