BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of Iowa’s Nolan Barnett (Fr., El Segundo, Calif./El Segundo) notched 16 goals, six assists, eight steals and nine field blocks for the Hawkeyes to claim recognition as the September 16 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Men’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Player of the Week.
Competing at The Ohio State University during the opening weekend of Big Ten Division competition, the first-year factored in 88 percent of his team’s scoring by either netting or assisting on the Hawkeyes’ 25 goals as the team dropped games to the University of Michigan (15-4 L), Michigan State University (11-5 L), Purdue University (14-12 L) and the host Buckeyes (13-4 L).
