BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Emma Laszlo (Sr., Alameda, Calif./Encinal) of Division III No. 1-ranked the University of California-Santa Cruz netted 10 goals during a 4-0 home weekend for the Banana Slugs in Santa Cruz, Calif., to claim status as the March 10 Women’s Collegiate Club Bay Area Division Player of the Week.

A team captain, she helped UC-Santa Cruz overcome Saint Mary’s College (16-5 W), San Jose State University (14-13 W OT), the University of San Francisco (13-3 W) and Stanford University (13-9 W) as the Banana Slugs concluded the regular season with a 7-0-1 division mark to claim the group’s regular season title.

The No. 1 seed for the Bay Area Division Championship on March 22-23 at San Jose State in San Jose, Calif., the team will earn to punch its ticket to the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on April 11-13.
