BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Water Polo Championship field is set as No. 1-ranked the University of California-Los Angeles, No. 2 Stanford University, No. 2 the University of Southern California, No. 4 the University of Hawaii, No. 4 the University of California, No. 9 Loyola Marymount University, No. 15 Harvard University, No. 18 Wagner College and McKendree University will vie for the national championship on May 7, 9-11 at IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Stanford, UCLA, Southern California and Hawaii are the top four seeds this year.
The opening round game on Wednesday, May 7, will be streamed on YouTube.The quarterfinals and semifinals on Friday-Saturday, May 9-10, will be live streamed on NCAA.com. The National Championship game on Sunday, May 11, will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Competition begins at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, May 7, as Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion Wagner tangles with Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Champion McKendree at 6:00 p.m. Eastern in an opening round game.
The victor of the Wagner/McKendree contest advances to take on No. 1 seed/No. 2/Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion Stanford at Noon on Friday, May 9. No. 4 seed/No. 4/Big West Champion Hawaii clashes with No. 4/MPSF Third Place finisher California at 2:00 p.m. before No. 2 seed/No. 1/MPSF runner-up UCLA takes on No. 9/Golden Coast Conference (GCC) Champion Loyola Marymount at 4:00 p.m. The day concludes as No. 3 Seed/No. 2/MPSF Fourth Place finisher Southern California aims to hamper No. 15/Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Champion Harvard at 6:00 p.m.
The victors of the games meet on Saturday, May 10, in the semifinals at Noon and 2:00 p.m. to set the stage for the National Championship game on Sunday, May 11, at Noon.
