BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) published the organization’s Rating Percentage Index (RPI) calculations for women’s water polo through games of Sunday, April 27.
The final RPI ranking of the year in women’s water polo, the rating is utilized to compare teams based upon a program’s wins, losses and strength of schedule.
A pair of Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) institutions rate among the Top 10 as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion Stanford University, the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of Southern California, the University of California, Big West Champion the University of Hawaii, Princeton University, CWPA Champion Harvard University, Indiana University, Long Beach State University and the University of California-San Diego rank at No. 1-to-10, respectively.
Princeton (No. 6), Harvard (No. 7), the University of Michigan (No. 12), Brown University (No. 21), Bucknell University (No. 26), Saint Francis University (No. 36), Augustana College (No. 39), Washington & Jefferson College (No. 41), Austin College (No. 45), Macalester College (No. 46), Mercyhurst University (No. 48), Carthage College (No. 54), Penn State Behrend (No. 59), Grove City College (No. 61), Connecticut College (No. 62) and Wheaton College (No. 63) comprise the entirety of the CWPA institutions ranked among the 63 NCAA water polo institutions.
