2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Heartland Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases an updated 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Heartland Division Championship schedule for the weekend of Saturday-Sunday, November 1-2, at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minn., following the decision of Grinnell College to withdraw from competing.
Due to Grinnell’s decision, the team is suspended for the remainder of the 2025 season and the entirety of the 2026 season per league policy.
The championship format changes from bracket play to a four-team, round-robin event as Augustana College, Carleton College, Saint Olaf College and the host Scots the division will seek to claim the 26th Heartland Division title.
In the history of the division, Macalester (1999, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2023), Grinnell (2001, 2004, 2007, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (2002, 2003), Augustana (2014, 2017, 2024) and former club/varsity program Monmouth College (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) have claimed the prior 25 crowns. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Augustana-vs.-Carleton (1:30 p.m. Central), Macalester-vs.-Saint Olaf (2:40 p.m.), Macalester-vs.-Carleton (5:00 p.m.) and Augustana-vs.-Saint Olaf (6:10 p.m.) open the weekend of competition on Saturday, November 1, prior to Carleton-vs.-Saint Olaf (9:00 a.m.) and Macalester-vs.-Augustana (10:10 a.m.) wrapping up the championship on Sunday, November 2.
The best records during the course of the weekend will determine First-to-Fourth Place in the final division standings with the league’s tiebreaker procedure – including head-to-head results – determining final placements.
