BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Goalkeeper Melisa Sakalas (Sr., Orlando, Fla./Lake Nona) anchored Boston University to a 3-1 record during the opening weekend of Women’s Collegiate Club New England Division competition at home in Boston, Mass., to earn status as the division’s February 2 Player of the Week.
She helped the Terriers turn back Wesleyan University (15-4 W), the University of Connecticut (17-3 W) and Dartmouth College (13-2 W) to go along with a 6-4 loss to Boston College as Boston University allowed a miserly 3.75 goals per game.
