BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Emma Kaipainen (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) of No. 4-ranked the University of Michigan “A” scored 12 goals and drew five exclusions during a 4-0 weekend in Big Ten Division competition at Huron High School in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Saturday-Sunday, February 21-22. For her performance, Kaipainen earns recognition as the February 23 Women’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Player of the Week.
She opened the weekend with three goals in a 13-7 defeat of the University of Wisconsin prior to putting away four tallies in a 15-1 victory over Purdue University on February 21. Facing the University of Illinois and Michigan State University on Sunday, February 22, she accounted for three and two markers versus the Illini and Spartans, respectively.
