BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Sydney Adler (Jr., San Jose, Calif./Harker) and Matalene “Matty” Winters (Jr., Malibu, Calif./Oaks Christian School) of No. 8-ranked the University of California-Los Angeles “A” (UCLA “A”) helped the Bruins defeat California State University-Fullerton “A” (13-10 W), No. 4 California Polytechnic State University “A” (9-4 W) and No. 1/defending Women’s National Collegiate Club Champion the University of California-Santa Barbara “A” (7-5 W) to claim the 2026 Women’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division Championship at the University of Southern California.  For their performance, the duo share the division’s March 9 Player of the Week award.

Adler helped set-up UCLA’s offense and stymied the Titans, Mustangs and Gauchos on the defensive end of the tank, while Winters accounted for nine (six versus Fullerton, one versus Cal Poly “A”, two versus UC-Santa Barbara “A”) of her team’s 29 goals during the two-day event in Los Angeles.

The division championship victory advances UCLA to the 2026 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the Carlisle YMCA Aquatics Center in Carlisle, Pa., on Friday-Sunday, April 17-19.  The Bruins will compete in the 16-team field out of the No. 1 position due to capturing the Pacific Coast Division Championship.

A three-time Pacific Coast Division Champion (2001, 2024, 2026), UCLA has previously placed second (2024), third (2001), fifth (2010), sixth (2008), seventh (2011) and Ninth (2009, 2023) at the National Collegiate Club Championship.
