BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeeper Orli Cooper (So., Greensboro, N.C./Guilford Home Educators) of No. 12-ranked Harvard University posted nine saves in a pair of home wins versus Siena University and the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) on Sunday, March 8, to garner the March 9 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week award.

The award marks the fourth Defensive Player of the Week nod for Cooper in 2026 following prior recognition on January 26, February 2 and March 2.  Overall, the honor marks the 12th weekly accolade bestowed on the netminder as the 2025 CWPA Championship Most Valuable Player claimed seven Defensive Player (February 3, February 10, February 24, March 3, March 17, March 24, April 28) nods and one Player (April 28) of the Week laurel during her freshman season.

She accounted for seven saves in a 19-5 stoppage of Siena prior to notching a pair of blocks in a 23-7 victory over VMI while splitting time in cage with Sutchie Ofori-Nyako (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Castilleja School).
