2027 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the schedule of league games for the 2027 Women’s Division III season.
Due to the addition of new varsity program Denison University and previously Division I Saint Francis University, the league expands to 11 teams as Augustana College, Austin College, Carthage College, Connecticut College, Denison, Grove City College, Macalester College, Penn State Behrend, Saint Francis, Washington & Jefferson and Wheaton College will compete in 2027.
Competition begins on Friday-Sunday, February 26-28, as the Western Region teams of Austin, Carthage, Denison and Macalester trek to Rock Island, Ill., for 10 games hosted by Augustana College.
The Eastern Region teams of Grove City, Penn State Behrend, Saint Francis, W&J and Wheaton head to Connecticut College for 12 games in New London, Conn., on Saturday-Sunday, March 6-7.
All 11 games will compete on Friday-Saturday, March 19-20, as Grove City in Grove City, Pa., and Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa., host 11 and nine games, respectively, in a Crossover Weekend in Western Pennsylvania to cap off the regular season.
The three-day, 17-game Division III Championship will occur on Friday-Sunday, April 9-11, at Carthage in Kenosha, Wisc., with 10 of the 11 teams eligible for the title. Due to Saint Francis transitioning from Division I to Division III, the Red Wolves will contest a pair of non-conference games during the championship weekend on April 9 and 10. Seeding for the championship is determined by regular season conference winning percentage.
The victor and runner-up from the CWPA Division III Championship earn berths to the 2027 USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Water Polo Championship at a site to be determined.
