BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Julia Reyes of Arizona State University netted 13 goals during a 2-2 weekend for the Sun Devils during the season-opening division weekend at San Diego State University’s Aztec Aquaplex to earn the February 24 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Player of the Week award.
She notched four goals in an 8-5 loss to No. 14-ranked the University of California-San Diego to go along with single tallies versus No. 5 San Diego State University (11-2 L) and the University of San Diego (10-1 W).
Her best game came versus “Grand Canyon State” nemesis the University of Arizona as she pumped in seven goals as the Sun Devils topped the Wildcats 12-5.
After scoring two goals versus UofA and receiving her second exclusion foul, Reyes went to the bench. However, she returned to the water to put away five more strikes without receiving a third exclusion.
