BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Alyssa Fricker (Fr., Foothill Ranch, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) of Division III No. 8-ranked Augustana College posted 12 goals, two assists, nine drawn exclusions and seven steals at the 2022 Convergence Tournament hosted by Division III No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Division III No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Division III No. 6 the University of La Verne and Division III No. 10 Occidental College to earn recognition as the March 7 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player and Rookie of the Week.
A repeat selection after earning both the Player and Rookie of the Week awards on both February 14 and 21, she opened the weekend on Friday, March 4, with a team-high five goals in a 12-7 loss at La Verne. The Vikings concluded the day with a 15-7 loss to Santa Clara University in which Fricker again led Augustana with three goals.
On Saturday, March 5, she posted three second half goals as Augustana dropped a 13-7 contest to Division III No. 9 University of Redlands prior to adding one in a 19-2 loss to California Baptist University.
