BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Augustana College’s Alyssa Fricker (Fr., Foothill Ranch, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) scored six goals at the inaugural/2022 USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Championship hosted by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges to earn recognition as the May 9 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
The honor marks the ninth weekly honor from the league office bestowed on Fricker who previously earned both the Player and Rookie of the Week awards on February 14, February 21 and March 7 prior to earning Rookie of the Week accolades on March 14 and April 25.
She notched three goals with a steal in a 21-6 loss to the host/Division III No. 1-ranked Sagehens on Saturday, May 7, prior to adding three goals and a drawn exclusion for the Division III No. 9 Vikings on Sunday, May 8, in a 12-9 loss in the Third Place game to Division III No. 5 Austin College.
