BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Casey Barragan (Jr., Commerce, Calif./La Serna) of Division III No. 5-ranked Augustana College was an offensive juggernaut during a league weekend at Division III No. 7 Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday-Sunday, March 23-24, to earn status as the March 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week.

A six-time (February 13, February 20, March 6, March 20, April 3 and April 24) Rookie of the Week and five-time (February 20, March 6, April 3, April 24, May 8) Player of the Week honoree during the 2023 season at Augustana after transferring from Fresno State University, Barragan adds her fourth Player of the Week accolade of the 2024 season as she previously garnered recognition on February 12 and March 4, while sharing a nod on February 19 with teammate Charlotte Newport (Jr., Baytown, Texas/Ross S. Sterling).

During victories over Austin College (14-8 W), Washington & Jefferson College (16-8 W), Carthage College (12-6 W) and Macalester (14-4 W), she racked up 21 goals, 10 drawn exclusions, on assist, five field blocks and a pair of steals as the defending CWPA Division III Champion Vikings outscored their opponents 56-to-26 for an average margin of victory at 7.5 goals per game.

On Saturday, March 23, she opened the weekend by tallying four goals, eight drawn exclusions and two field blocks versus Austin prior to tabulating four goals, an assist and a steal against Washington & Jefferson.

Barragan concluded the weekend trip to the North Star State by shining for two goals, a drawn exclusion and a field block facing Carthage prior to barraging Macalester with 11 goals, a drawn exclusion, a steal and a pair of field blocks.
