BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lizzie Pelzman (Jr., Roseville, Calif./Roseville) of Division III No. 5-ranked Augustana College made 15 saves with two steals in a 14-4 victory at Division III No. 7 Macalester College in league competition on Sunday, March 24, to claim status as the March 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
The award marks the 10th Defensive Player of the Week nod during Pelzman’s intercollegiate tenure as she garnered the February 21 and March 7 honors during the 2022 season prior to collecting nods on February 13, February 20, March 6, April 24 and May 8 in 2023. Earlier this season, she was recognized as the February 12 and March 5 Defensive Player of the Week.
