BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Brooke Le (So., Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) of Division III No. 9-ranked Austin College racked up 13 goals, seven assists, six steals and six ejections drawn during a 4-0 run over the opening weekend of Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-West Region league play to earn honors as the March 9 CWPA Division III Player of the Week.
Competing at Monmouth College on Saturday-Sunday, March 7-8, the 2019 CWPA Division III Championship runner-up Kangaroos came out on fire as Le put away four goals during a 22-6 knockout of the host Fighting Scots. Later in the day on March 7, she scored a game-high four goals as Austin upended the three-time (2017, 2018, 2019) defending CWPA Division III Champion Scots of Division III No. 8 Macalester College, 13-8.
On Sunday, March 8, she netted four goals in a 17-5 victory over Wittenberg University prior to finding the back of the cage once in a 19-6 handling of Carthage College.
The award marks the second weekly honor bestowed on Le who previously picked up the April 1, 2019 CWPA Division III Rookie of the Week accolade.
