BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Division III No. 8-ranked Austin College’s Erin McCormack (Jr., Orlando, Fla./Winter Park) made 19 saves in 10 quarters for the Kangaroos at the Bruno Classic hosted by Brown University on Saturday-Sunday, February 4-5, to garner recognition as the February 6 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, she helped the ‘Roos against Bucknell University (10-5 L), No. 21 Long Island University (18-9 L), No. 24 Marist College (19-2 L) and the host/No. 20 Bears (14-5 L).
Her best game of the week came versus Bucknell as she stopped 10 Bison scoring attempts.
