BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kalissa Niles (Fr., Richmond, Texas/Foster) registered five assists, six steals, five field blocks and her first intercollegiate goal during a 2-2 weekend for Division III No. 5-ranked Austin College at the 2022 Tina Finali Memorial Tournament hosted by California Lutheran University. For her performance, Niles claims status as the February 28 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
A first time weekly honor recipient from the league office, she helped the Kangaroos’ top Fresno Pacific University (10-9 W) and Division III No. 7 Chapman University (18-13 W) with losses to host/Division III No. 3 California Lutheran University (9-8 L) and No. 22 Long Island University (18-5 L) during the two-day tournament on Friday-Saturday, February 25-26.
She posted her first collegiate goal during the ‘Roos 10-9 defeat of Fresno Pacific on Friday, February 25.
