BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lexi Wong (So., Lantana, Texas/Guyer) of Division III No. 10-ranked Austin College contributed 12 goals over the span of five games at the 2020 Brown University Bruno Classic to earn status as the February 3 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Co-Player of the Week.
A two-time (March 4, April 15) Division III Rookie of the Week selection during the 2019 season, Wong factored in all five games for the Kangaroos as the team fell to the host Bears (14-6 L) and Division III No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (14-4 L), Siena College (16-13 L), No. 13 Bucknell University (13-8 L) and Long Island University (12-4 L).
Her best game of the weekend invitational came versus Siena as she put away seven goals.
Wong shares the weekly award with Savanah Phillips (Sr., San Diego, Calif./Grossmont) of Wittenberg University who posted 10 goals with an assist, two steals and seven ejections drawn in a pair of games for the Tigers.
