BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Presley Woods (Fr., Lantana, Texas/Guyer) of Austin College contributed 14 goals during a six-game Spring Break trip to California to claim recognition as the March 18 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player and Rookie of the Week awards.

She opened the week with six goals in a 14-6 non-conference defeat of Connecticut College at No. 21-ranked California State University-Northridge before chipping in a goal in a 20-3 loss to the host Matadors on Tuesday, March 12.  Following a 14-4 loss at Concordia University, she tacked on a goal in a 5-4 loss to Division III No. 10 Occidental College on Wednesday, March 13.  Woods concluded the trip with three goals against both Division III No. 5 University of Redlands (16-7 L) and Division III No. 6 Chapman University (13-10 L) on Saturday, March 16.

She becomes the first player in school history to win the Division III Player of the Week award and the third to garner a weekly honor from the league office as goalie Valery Piachonkina (Fr., Castro Valley, Calif./Mission San Jose) shared the March 4 Division III Defensive Player of the Week award and Lexi Wong (Fr., Lantana, Texas/Guyer) notched the March 4 Division III Rookie of the Week laurel.
