BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Women’s water polo athletes Mikha Torres (Jr., Cypress, Texas/Bridgeland), Joslyn Dimitri (Jr., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho/Coeur d’Alene) and Camila Diarte (So., San Antonio, Texas/Brandeis ) received recognition at the 2026 Austin College Athletics Convocation held on Thursday, May 14, in Hughley Gymnasium.
Torres received the women’s water polo team’s Golden ‘Roo award, while Dimitri claimed the Cap 15 honor.
Among athletic department awards, Diarte was among eight women’s athletes to garner the Sig Lawson honor presented for “dedication and commitment to Austin College Athletics.”
Dimitri took home the highest honor among female athletes by registering the Gene Day Female Athlete of the Year award.
A utility player for the women’s water polo player and a top performer for the ‘Roo swim team, she was a first team All-Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III selection in women’s water polo after leading the conference in goals scored, as well as being an All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) performer at the conference swim meet, highlighted by a silver medal finish in the 400 individual medley.
