BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lexi Wong (Fr., Lantana, Texas/Guyer) racked up 13 goals, six assists and 10 steals during a 2-2 weekend for Austin College in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-West Region play at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, to earn the league’s March 4 CWPA Division III Rookie of the Week award.
She opened the weekend on Saturday, March 2, with three goals in an 11-7 loss to Division III No. 8-ranked/two-time (2017, 2018) defending CWPA Division III Champion Macalester College prior to putting away a pair of markers in a 9-6 defeat of host Wittenberg.
On Sunday, March 3, she posted five goals in a 15-3 victory over Carthage College prior to wrapping-up the two-day event with three scores in a 14-12 loss to Division III No. 10 Monmouth College.
