BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ilias Stothart (So., Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) of No. 18-ranked Brown University totaled 12 goals and 16 drawn exclusions during a 3-0 weekend at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament in Santa Clara, Calif. For his performance, Stothart earns the October 23 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.
A two-time (September 12, November 21) NWPC Rookie of the Week recipient in 2022 and a prior Player of Week recipient last week (October 16), he scored a team-high six goals in a 17-12 grounding of the United States Air Force Academy on Saturday, October 21, prior to tacking on four additional markers in a 12-9 defeat of California State University-Fullerton.
On Sunday, October 22, Stothart – who currently leads Brown with 70 goals, 71 ejections drawn and 29 penalties drawn. – capped off his weekend by netting a pair of goals in an 18-15 overtime victory over tournament host/No. 20 Santa Clara University.
