BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Big Ten Network will broadcast the Saturday, March 25, Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) league opener pitting defending league champion/No 6-ranked the University of Michigan against runner-up/No. 15 Indiana University at Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor, Mich. The live broadcast will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern/8:00 a.m. Pacific.
This will be second straight year and just the second time the Big Ten Network has televised a Michigan home water polo game since 2011 when it aired Michigan’s 6-5 loss to then No. 4-ranked the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA). Last season on April 9, Michigan defeated Harvard University on Senior Night on live TV by the final of 10-5.
In 2010, the Big Ten Network aired the annual rivalry game between Michigan and Indiana. The game concluded with a 6-4 win for the Wolverines. Last year, the Big Ten Network televised the Indiana-Michigan game in Bloomington, Indiana, which the Wolverines claimed by an 11-8 final score on April 2.
