NEW LONDON, Conn. — Two Bears had three goals each as Brown University picked up a 13-7 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) road win at Connecticut College.
Brown was led by Anderson Todd and Max Boucher who both scored three goals. Stephen Salle finished the game with two goals and three assists. In the final quarter, Salle stepped into goal and finished with seven blocks on eight shots, including a penalty shot.
Simeon Dong played the first three quarters in goal, making nine saves and scoring a goal of his own.
Brown started out quickly, scoring the first four goals of the game in less than four minutes. Todd scored two goals, while Boucher and Salle each scored a goal during the run. Ben Krishon scored a goal for Brown’s fifth goal of the quarter.
Todd’s third goal of the game early in the second made the score 6-3 but Connecticut College quickly pulled back within two. From there, Brown took over scoring the last five goals of the half. Boucher scored twice as Salle, Ben Resko and Gabe Chang all scored a goal. After the run. Brown led 11-4 at the half.
Connor Enright and Dong each scored in the second half to help the Bears earn their 15th win of the season.
