BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ilias Stothart (So., Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) of No. 19-ranked Brown University totaled 23 goals, 20 drawn exclusions and seven penalties during a 4-0 weekend at home in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center as part of the 2023 Harvard University Invitational.  For his performance, Stothart garners status as the October 16 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.

A two-time (September 12, November 21) NWPC Rookie of the Week recipient in 2022, he opened the weekend by putting away a pair versus George Washington University (13-9 W) and five more versus Salem University (20-13 W) as the Bears bounced to a pair of victories on Saturday, October 14.

On Sunday, October 15, he struck twice against Division III No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (13-9 W) prior to capping off the weekend with a historic milestone by establishing a program record of 10 goals in a 21-14 defeat of Division III No. 6 Occidental College.  The mark bested the previous record of nine goals in a game that was set in 1977 by Kent Rapp and matched in 1984 by Steve Ennis.
