2022 Brown University Men’s Water Polo Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Brown University men’s water polo head coach Felix Mercado announced the Bears’ 2022 slate. Brown will begin the season at home with the Bruno Classic and play a total of 17 games at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.

The Bears will kick off the season playing six games in the Bruno Classic over Labor Day weekend. Brown will play three games on Saturday (September 3), taking on Austin College, California Baptist University and Gannon University. The remaining games of the tournament will be against Stanford University and the United States Air Force Academy on Sunday (September 4) and University of the Pacific on Monday (September 5).

“I am super excited to begin the 2022 season and the competitive schedule we have put together,” said Mercado. “Being able to go out to California twice is a new and interesting challenge for us.  I feel that this will prepare us for our conference schedule.”

Brown’s first Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) games will be at St. Francis College Brooklyn and Princeton University on October 1.  The Bears will play their first conference home games on October 8 versus Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The Bears will host their portion of the Harvard Invitational on October 15 and 16, playing host to Gannon, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Long Beach State University and Salem University. Brown will hit the road the following weekend for a tournament at Santa Clara University.

After closing out the regular season hosting Princeton, St. Francis Brooklyn and Iona College, Brown will host the NWPC Championship on November 18-20.
